Job summary

STV Incorporated in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking Construction Inspector Trainees to support our Transportation division, learning basic inspection principles and assisting seasoned inspectors on highway and bridge projects.

You will travel to site, read plans, document inspections, and perform on-site material testing. A high school diploma or GED is required; candidate must acquire NCDOT certifications within six months. This is a growth-focused role at an ENR Top 50 design firm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior construction inspection experience required.
• Must obtain NCDOT certifications within 6 months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection activities on highway/bridge projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specs.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and document inspections.
• Perform on-site material testing and sampling.
