Job summary

TPD is hiring Construction Inspector Supervisors and Managers at all levels. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work on multiple projects. We value teamwork and a willingness to learn in a creative, flexible environment.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering background (not required), plus preferred certifications such as ACI, NECEPT, PennDOT concrete, and NICET II–IV. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is not required but preferred.
• Certification in ACI, NECEPT or PennDOT concrete is preferred.
• NICET Certification II–IV is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Supervise inspection teams.
• Approve on-site observations and reports related to progress, manpower, and materials.
• Measure and record quantities for payment and prepare as-built drawings.
• Act as on-site project representative.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications (e.g., roadway inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving; structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures; ADA compliance inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks; traffic signal inspections).
• Supervise inspection teams.
• Approve all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on daily inspection reports and various other reports required.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Act as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (not required).
• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NECEPT or PennDOT concrete.
• NICET Certification: II‑IV is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver’s License.
