Job summary

TPD in Erie, United States is seeking Construction Inspectors (multiple levels) with NICET certification preferred. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work cohesively on multiple projects within a team environment.

Duties include daily inspections of roadway, drainage, paving, foundations, ADA curb ramps, and bridge-related work; documenting observations; measuring quantities; preparing as-built drawings; and

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specs across disciplines (roadway earthwork, drainage, paving, foundations, etc.).
• Document on-site observations in reports.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site project representative.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections.
• Document all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required.
• Measure and record quantities for payment
• Prepare as-built drawing
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NJSAT, TCC or CCTC.
• NICET Certification: I-IV is preferred.
• EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus (not required)
• Experience with bridge construction is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
