Job summary

TPD is hiring dynamic Construction Inspector Supervisors and Managers at all levels in the United States. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work cohesively in a team on multiple projects in a creative, flexible, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (not required).
• Certifications such as ACI, NECEPT or PennDOT concrete are preferred.
• NICET Certification II–IV is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily inspection of construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specs (roadway earthwork, drainage, paving; foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, etc.).
• Supervise inspection teams.
• Approve on-site observations and prepare daily inspection reports and other required reports.
• Measure and record quantities for payment.
• Prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site project representative.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project complies with plans and specifications. Such as Roadway Inspection of earthwork, drainage, paving, etc.; Structural inspection of foundations, piles, concrete, deck formwork, MSE walls, sign structures, etc.; ADA Compliance Inspection of curb ramps and sidewalks, etc.; Traffic Signal Inspections.
• Supervise Inspection Teams
• Approve all on-site observations of construction progress, equipment, manpower, and materials on a Daily Inspection Report and various other reports required.
• Measure and record quantities for payment
• Prepare as-built drawings
• Serving as on-site project representative.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (not required)
• At least one or more of the following certifications are preferred: ACI, NECEPT or PennDOT concrete
• NICET Certification: II-IV is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License
