Job summary

Ward Getz & Associates LLC (WGA) in Austin, TX is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services team. The role focuses on public infrastructure projects, site and land development work, and requires strong inspection and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, recording daily progress, coordinating with project engineers and managers, and ensuring safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel in the Central Texas region.

Responsibilities

• Understand the general process of site, land and municipal projects including utilities, roadways, and water/wastewater facilities.
• Inspect civil construction elements such as soils, aggregate, concrete, reinforcing steel, asphalt, foundations, and related components.
• Manage, observe, and report on a construction project on a daily basis.
• Prepare daily reports documenting work performed before leaving the site.
• Attend construction meetings to understand scope and communicate with project stakeholders.
