Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a full-time Resident Construction Inspector for our Boston, MA office. The role will perform a variety of construction inspection tasks, monitor contractor operations for compliance, and support client-facing meetings on infrastructure projects in the Boston area.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, read and interpret plans, and possess a clean driving record with own transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree in engineering and/or NICET II is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience.
• Reads and interprets plans and specifications.
• Clean driving record and ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract plans and specifications.
• Organize, track, and manage daily reporting and project logs.
• Facilitate client-facing Owner/Engineer/Contractor progress meetings.
• Coordinate and schedule phases of construction inspection with prime contractor and stakeholders.
• Identify field issues and discuss solutions with supervisor.
• Prepare and process construction records, including RFIs, submittals, field measurements, and change orders.
