Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Construction Management group for projects in the greater NYC metropolitan area. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, and preferred candidates have experience with project documentation, weekly reports, monthly estimates, change orders, and as‑builts.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree.
Construction internship experience preferred.
Excellent communications and client relations skills.
Ability to work with field staff and as a team player.

Responsibilities

Monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract plans, provisions, and specifications.
Coordinate and schedule various phases of construction inspection with the prime contractor and other agencies.
Proactive in identifying field issues and discuss solutions with supervisor.
Collaborative approach to working in a team that includes the owner and contractor.
Prepare and process construction records, including RFIs, submittals, field measurements for progress pay applications, extra work billings, and contract change orders.
Document all field activities and represent Dewberry with clients in a professional capacity.
