Construction Inspector/ Construction Services

We are offering exciting career opportunities for Construction Inspectors Level II through IV. H&H currently has multiple inspection projects for roadway, highway, and bridge construction in New York City Boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, and in Nassau County.

We manage the entire project lifecycle, from study and planning to design and construction. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and special requirements.
• Apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to measure and calculate quantities of work for payment recommendations.
• Prepare clear and concise Daily Inspection Reports documenting work performed, manpower, materials, equipment, and quantities.
• Operate field inspection equipment proficiently.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or NICET Certification, with highway and/or bridge construction experience as follows:

• Level II Inspector: Minimum of 2 years' related experience.
• Level III Senior Inspector or Office Engineer: Minimum of 5 years' related experience.
• Level IV Chief Inspector or Resident Engineer: Minimum of 10 years' related experience.

Additional qualifications include:

• Knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
• Preferred certifications: ACI Concrete Testing, Work Zone Traffic Control, 10-hour OSHA Safety Training.
• Experience with NYSDOT and NYC Department of Design & Construction projects, SiteManager software, and related agencies is preferred.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
