Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Construction Inspector I/II to support highway, bridge, and related transportation construction projects in the Western New York area. The role requires a basic understanding of construction standards and a drive to gain experience on large-scale projects.

You will report to senior inspection staff, monitor daily activities, verify materials, interpret drawings, and be willing to work weekends or weeknights as needed. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years inspection experience related to highway and bridge construction.
• Proficiency in collecting data, interpreting plans, field measurements, calculations, and documenting work.
• Associates/Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering/Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities, track quantity usage, and prepare daily reports.
• Verify conformance of materials with specifications and documents.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications as needed.
• Be willing to work weekends and/or weeknights as necessary.
