Job summary

Walbridge seeks a Human Resource Specialist for a state-of-the-art construction project near Van Buren Township, MI. You will leverage HR expertise to champion our culture, manage HR processes, and serve as a trusted advisor to staff and management.

You will help foster positive employee relations and a productive work environment, ensuring adherence to HR principles and confidentiality. This role supports on-site supervision and corporate HR teams in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field; 3-5 years HR experience.
• Proven expertise in a specific HR specialty area (e.g., recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration).
• Proficiency in HR information systems, databases, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint), and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion: Advance Walbridge culture of inclusion initiative and promote strong working relationships.
• Guide: Provide guidance and maintain compliance with EEO, labor classifications, and OFCCP requirements.
• Facilitate: Partner with on-site project supervisors, facilitate the Talent Acquisition process, and support the corporate HR team.
• Oversight: Provide oversight of new team member programs, health & wellness initiatives, training, labor postings and signage, and substance abuse testing process.
• Investigate: Lead investigations and resolve team member relations matters promptly and effectively.
