Job summary

Safety Marking, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to support recruiting, hiring, and workforce needs within a blue-collar road construction environment. You will source candidates for roles from entry-level to supervisory, and assist the HR Director with compliant employment practices and HR administration.

You will work with field and office teams, maintain HR records, and ensure adherence to labor regulations while delivering timely staffing solutions and employee support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR/related field.
• 4–7 years of HR experience with a proven recruiting track record.
• Recruiting experience in blue-collar, construction, transportation, fleet, or similar labor-based environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit across field, shop, administrative, supervisory, management, fleet, safety, and operations roles.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, trade schools, workforce programs, industry networks, and direct outreach.
• Manage the full hiring cycle — postings, screening, interviews, pre-employment checks, offers, and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers on staffing needs, seasonal demand, position requirements, and long-term workforce planning.
• Maintain HR records, including applicant tracking, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
• Support compliance with EEO, wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, I-9, DOT, and other labor regulations.
• Assist the HR Director with employee relations, policy updates, benefits, payroll changes, offboarding, audits, and special projects.
