Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP or HR Generalist, and strong knowledge of California employment law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
• Experience supporting construction, engineering, manufacturing, or field-based organizations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law.
• Experience handling employee relations, investigations, performance management and coaching.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to influence and partner with leaders at all levels.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support organizational goals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Guide managers through performance discussions, investigations, and terminations while ensuring consistency and compliance.
• Support organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring strategies and workforce growth.
• Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coach managers on leadership development, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.
• Assist with change management during organizational growth and restructuring.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Partner with Payroll and HR Operations on lifecycle processes.
• Support compensation and promotion recommendations with leadership.
• Participate in employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
• Assist with policy development and continuous improvement of HR programs.
• Support investigations involving employee concerns with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
