Job summary

WinnScapes of Columbus is seeking a Construction Foreman to lead a 2–3 person crew in outdoor landscape and hardscape projects. You will read blueprints, coordinate materials and schedules, and ensure high quality workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency on site.

You will operate construction equipment, mentor teammates, and contribute to winter snow operations to keep community spaces safe year-round.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small crew on outdoor construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Proven commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to operate landscape construction equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliability in all seasons.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of 2–3 team members on outdoor construction projects, organizing daily tasks to support teamwork and productivity.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to execute landscape and hardscape designs accurately.
• Oversee hardscape installations and coordinate job site materials, logistics, and task schedules.
• Operate and maintain landscape and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Train and mentor crew members to build their skills and encourage collaboration.
• Monitor project progress and workmanship to maintain quality, safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in winter snow operations to help keep community spaces safe.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape construction, hardscape installation, or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Leadership skills to guide, motivate, and train a small crew.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.

Compensation

$21–$25 per hour, based on experience and leadership skills.
