Pro Commercial is seeking a Construction Staff Accountant / Finance Operations Specialist to support core accounting functions across AP/AR, job costing, and monthly close in a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in accounting, proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, and experience with Buildertrend; in-office in Huxley, IA with a hybrid option.

This full-time role offers benefits and collaboration with field teams to ensure accurate project accounting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in AP and AR processes.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
• Construction or job-cost accounting background.
• Familiarity with project management or expense tracking systems.
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in business or 5 years related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Process vendor invoices in QuickBooks Desktop and code to jobs.
• Manage AP/AR, retainage, and vendor records.
• Support job costing with cost codes, reports, and reconciliations.
• Generate customer invoices and monitor aging.
• Assist payroll allocations and monthly close activities.
• Set up new jobs in Buildertrend and onboard subcontractors.
• Track COI, W-9, and lien waivers; ensure documentation.
• Maintain project files and invoicing in Buildertrend.
