Job summary

ReArch Construction in South Burlington, VT seeks an Assistant Controller to manage day-to-day accounting operations, lead AP, and support month-end and year-end closes. You will oversee AP staff, ensure timely vendor payments, and contribute to project accounting and compliance efforts.

The role involves collaboration with project managers, growth into broader financial leadership, and an in-person work expectation with occasional travel to project sites and other offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Progressive accounting experience with 5+ years, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls; experience with job-costing software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle Accounts Payable and supervise AP staff.
• Support general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month/year-end close.
• Assist with job costing, WIP schedules, and project accounting; ensure financial reporting accuracy.
