Job summary

Atrium is seeking an Assistant Controller to partner with the Controller in managing accounting operations, GAAP reporting, and month-end close for a growing construction services group. You will own the close process, oversee reconciliations, and guide the accounting team toward strong internal controls and accurate financials.

Ideal candidates bring 5-10+ years in accounting with construction industry experience and a leadership background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
• 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership.
• Construction accounting experience is required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA eligibility preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and GL activity for accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
• Coordinate external audits and manage PBC requests.
• Mentor accounting staff and support internal controls improvements.
• Assist with acquisitions, integration, and special projects.
