Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Controller to support financial reporting, accounting records, and AP/AR processes across our mission-critical projects. The role reports to the Controller or VP of Accounting and Finance and offers exposure to month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems like Viewpoint, QuickBooks, and Microsoft

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with financial reporting
• 1+ year managing accounts payable/receivable and GL activities
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with financial reporting, AP/AR, and GL management
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and ensure accuracy of records
• Prepare financial reports for leadership and auditors
• Manage AP/AR to ensure timely payments and vendor reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
• Assist with cash flow analysis and financial modeling
• Collaborate with senior leadership and mentor junior staff
