Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Controller for our construction operations in the Northeast. This role oversees day-to-day accounting, supports financial reporting, and partners with internal stakeholders to ensure controls and accuracy.

Reports to Controller and helps lead a capable accounting team. The candidate brings 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven supervisory ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with accounting systems and related tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Guide the accounting team and partner with internal stakeholders to support objectives.
• Oversee month-end and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal policies across entities.
• Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audits.
• Drive system enhancements and process improvements.
