Job summary

ReArch Construction is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, supervise AP staff, and support month-end close. The role also backs general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The position is in-person at our South Burlington, VT office with travel to project sites and other offices. Starting pay is $92,500–$105,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Experience managing Accounts Payable processes and staff.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP processes and staff; oversee weekly check runs.
• Support general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Support project accounting, job cost reporting, and WIP schedules.
• Help strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
