Job summary

Park Square Homes is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the Finance team, owning the integrity of the general ledger, overseeing the close process, and partnering with the Controller on reporting and compliance. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
CPA designation or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in residential homebuilding/real estate.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with the accounting team and ensure accuracy of journal entries and reconciliations.
Prepare and present GAAP-compliant financial statements with variance analysis and commentary.
Review team work, provide feedback, and ensure quality oversight before finalization.
Perform detailed financial analysis on revenue, margins, and costs by job/region and highlight risks/opportunities.
Support external audits, lender reporting, and tax compliance documentation.
