Job summary

Turner Construction Company invites motivated students to join its summer Intern Program in Operational Finance. You will gain hands-on experience in accounting functions, including AR/AP, GL, and cost tracking, while learning about project finance concepts and AI-assisted data tools.

The internship may be based at a Turner office or on a construction project site in Pittsburgh, with exposure to budgeting, reporting, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college offering Accounting, Finance, or related field with coursework completed.
• Must be 18+ to work on a construction site and willing to work standard hours.
• Basic understanding of GAAP (journal entries, GL) and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Intern Program learnings and complete assigned learning requirements.
• Support AR/AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks as needed.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Help collect data, prepare analyses, and support process improvements using AI tools.
• Attend training sessions, site visits, and meetings as part of the program.
