Superior Construction is seeking an Assistant Controller in Jacksonville, FL to oversee a finance team supporting Billing/AR, Payroll, AP, and PP&E. The role partners with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and a smooth month-end close.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with CPA or CCIFP credentials preferred. Master’s degree and construction experience are a plus; travel is occasional.

• Leads and develops finance teams to support close processes.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Manages internal controls and audit readiness.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of 2-3 financial and accounting analysts supporting Billing and AR.
• Assist Controller in Payroll, AP and Expenses, and Capital Assets.
• Tie financial statement line-items to GL and cost reports.
• Manage the financial statement audit.
• Understand debits/credits, cash flow statements, balance sheets, income statements, and footnote disclosures.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare and analyze records and reports.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Book monthly activity for related entities.
