Job summary

Superior Construction is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee a finance team responsible for Revenue, AR, Expenses, AP, Payroll, and PP&E, supporting month-end close and external audits. The role drives financial analysis for executive decision-making and ensures accurate GAAP reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, CPA or CCIFP, and a valid driver's license. Construction experience with PoC accounting is a plus; travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance (or related certification).
• CPA or CCIFP certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Construction industry experience with Percentage of Completion accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2–3 person financial and accounting team supporting Billing and AR.
• Assist Controller in leading Payroll, AP and Expenses, and Capital Assets.
• Tie financial statement line items to GL and cost reports.
• Manage the financial statement audit and coordination with external auditors.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze records and reports; perform account reconciliations.
• Assist in development of financing strategies and budgeting processes.
