Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group seeks a strategic Director of Finance & Accounting to lead all accounting operations and provide financial leadership, planning, and analysis to support growth in a construction-focused environment.

The role oversees reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, and project accounting, partnering with executives to drive strategic decisions and build a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Experience in residential construction, homebuilding, commercial construction, real estate development, or a related industry.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience in job costing, project accounting, and financial leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.
• Oversee job costing, project accounting, profitability analysis, and operational reporting.
• Partner with executive and operations leadership to drive strategic financial decisions.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.
