Job description

Overview

iConstructors is seeking an experienced project superintendent specialized in commercial office buildings. We are hiring for both interior fit-out and ground-up projects. The Superintendent is responsible for managing the construction schedule, site supervision, subcontractors, quality control, communication, and coordination of all project tasks. The primary goal is to ensure safety, compliance with plans, adherence to budget and schedule, and maintaining strong contractual relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a safe work site and enforce safety protocols to ensure OSHA standards are met.
  2. Supervise the site to foster a safe and positive work environment.
  3. Communicate regularly with clients, property managers, and subcontractors to monitor progress.
  4. Schedule subcontractors for each project phase.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes.
  6. Manage daily logs and weekly reports.
  7. Verify completion of checklists, scheduling and passing inspections from project start to punch-out.
  8. Implement company policies and enforce uniform construction methods to meet quality standards.
  9. Complete projects on time from planning through occupancy, fulfilling all contractual obligations.

Qualifications

  1. Experience with a commercial general contractor.
  2. Experience managing commercial interior projects with high-end finishes in occupied spaces.
  3. OSHA 30 certification.
  4. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  5. Excellent people skills and communication abilities.
  6. Ability to work on large projects with a team and smaller projects independently.
  7. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore).
  8. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and contract documents.
  9. Valid Florida driver’s license.
  10. Legal authorization to work in the US.
  11. Dependable, organized, proactive, and energetic.
