Supervisor, Transmission/HP Engineering

Remote within Service Territories (DE, PA, MD, NC, FL, GA, OH, VA)

Your role in our success will be...

The Supervisor, Engineering oversees a team responsible for transmission and distribution engineering functions, including project design, permitting, and standards governance (materials, manuals, procedures). This role ensures process and standards alignment, team performance, and coordination across all engineering disciplines within the enterprise. It collaborates with other Engineering leaders to prioritize projects and ensure they are completed safely and compliantly.

What you'll be working on...

  • Leading a team of engineers and technicians in utility engineering, reflecting company values of care, integrity, and excellence. Prioritizing activities aligned with budgets and strategic plans.
  • Developing, training, coaching, and conducting performance reviews for team members.
  • Supporting Operations, Business Development, and Regulatory teams in project development, system planning, and compliance activities.
  • Providing technical guidance on project design, permitting, standards development, and process improvements.
  • Setting priorities and goals, establishing accountability for targets.
  • Identifying and executing process improvements based on data analysis.
  • Supporting budget and financial forecasting, and communicating operational and project updates.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and jurisdictional regulations.
  • Fostering a positive work culture to enhance engagement and retention.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Travel required between work sites as needed
  • Preferred: PE license and/or certifications like PMP, NACE, API, GTI, or similar
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction, maintenance, and operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills
  • Ability to review engineering plans, understand permit requirements, work independently, and lead virtually or in-office
