Job summary

Focus Inc is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in Chicago, ensuring safe, efficient construction with high quality outcomes. You will help manage daily field operations, track schedule progress, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep work on plan.

The role offers exposure to all project phases, teaching leadership skills, onsite documentation, and safety program execution while maintaining site standards and governance under Focus safety policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or certificate in construction management or design is preferred.
• 1–3 years of construction industry experience is required.
• 1+ years of construction field experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities are valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily field operations and support project schedule execution.
• Monitor workforce activity, deliveries, and site logistics; maintain documentation in Procore.
• Lead safety orientations and perform routine jobsite safety inspections.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain progress per plan.
• Support site operations: keep the jobsite clean, organized and professional.
• Assist with meeting prep, daily reports, and field documentation.
