• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on maintenance/install experience.
• Proficient in identifying electrical malfunctions with precise instruments.
• Familiar with E&I practices and procedures.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Job description

Snelling is currently recruiting an experienced Construction Field Foreman with low-voltage systems experience for an Engineering company in the Trafford area. Seeking an experienced and hands‑on foreman to lead installation crews and oversee field operations for industry-leading perimeter security projects.

Schedule : Monday through Friday . Weekends as needed (primarily when on a job site)

Pay : $30.00-38.00/hr

Travel : Travel up to 60% to job sites nationwide. Opportunity for global travel.

Responsibilities for Field Foreman:

• Supervise and direct installation crews on active construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Lead the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of low-voltage electrical systems, vehicle barriers, gates, and related safety devices
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, enforce jobsite safety protocols, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
• Read and interpret project drawings, electrical schematics, and specifications to plan and execute work
• Manage crew schedules, material logistics, and on-site inventory to maintain project timelines
• Perform quality control inspections and maintain detailed daily reports, timesheets, and project documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field, escalating to engineering when necessary

Required Qualifications for Field Foreman:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in low-voltage electrical systems, industrial controls, or related trade
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising crews on construction job sites
• Demonstrated ability to manage daily field operations, including crew coordination, scheduling, and progress tracking
• Ability to read and interpret electrical control prints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and installation
• Proficiency in detecting electrical malfunctions using precision measuring instruments
• Familiarity with E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) practices and procedures
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Candidates with any of the following are strongly preferred:

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
• Commercial construction experience
• Commercial HVAC systems experience
• Access control systems experience
• Commercial slide gate operators experience
• Experience working on active construction sites with multiple tradesFirst Aid / CPR certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Prior experience in the perimeter security or physical security industry
