Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator for water and wastewater projects in Florida. The role focuses on developing competitive bids and rough budgets for municipal infrastructure, collaborating with operations leaders, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to win work.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction estimating, with experience in water/wastewater treatment projects and municipal projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating water / wastewater treatment projects.
• Background with municipal or public infrastructure projects.
• Experience with process mechanical, concrete structures, utilities, and civil scopes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid leveling.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate closely with project management and field operations teams.
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Develop conceptual budgets during early project planning.
• Support proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors in the utilities market.
