Job summary

LVI Associates seeks an experienced Senior Estimator in Tennessee to lead cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including plant facilities and pump stations. You will coordinate takeoffs, develop bid strategies, and manage subcontractor quotations for municipal bids across the Southeast.

The role requires 7+ years in general contracting estimation, strong reading of plans and specs, and a solid background in water/wastewater projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor.
• Strong experience estimating water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and takeoff tools.
• Strong understanding of municipal and public bid projects.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for water and wastewater plant projects, pump stations, lift stations, and underground utility work.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for civil, structural, mechanical, process piping, and electrical scopes.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop bid strategies and participate in bid reviews with executive leadership.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering alternatives.
• Maintain relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Support preconstruction efforts and assist project teams during project handoff.
