Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Estimator for its Washington DC operations based in Ashburn, VA. This role focuses on quantitative takeoffs, labor productivity, and pricing for PCI scopes of work.

Strong reading of specs and drawings, excellent communication, and cost analysis skills are essential. On-site work with collaboration across project teams and potential for bonus programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating construction projects with PCI or similar.
• Experience estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read specs and drawings for PCI scope and methods.
• Proven customer relationship development and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain vendor pricing for materials and equipment.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for non-self-performed work.
• Understand market conditions to set margins.
• Participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors.
• Build customer alignment through positive relations.
• Administer contracts for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules for estimates.
• Handoff projects to Operations after securing them.
• Assist with change orders and billings as needed.
• Support estimating team for cross-product line collaboration.
