Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Estimator II to estimate PCI scopes of work for our Raleigh-Durham operations. The role involves performing takeoffs, preparing labor productivity factors, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

You will work with project teams to review bids, manage contract administration, and hand off secured projects to operations, with a focus on cost analysis and precise estimating

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
• Proven ability to maintain strong customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to read project schedules for sequencing and durations.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain relationships with area vendors for competitive pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for work outside our self-performing group.
• Understand market conditions and margins for bids.
• Involve in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Support customer alignment objectives and relations.
• Handle contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules.
• Handoff secured projects to Operations.
• Assist in change orders and billings as needed.
• Support estimators with product line collaboration.
