Job summary

Facilities Maintenance Management, LLC. (FMM) seeks a Construction Estimator to analyze project plans and specifications, prepare detailed cost estimates, and support project managers through bidding and construction.

The role covers residential remodels, commercial renovations, and multi-family projects, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to deliver accurate, competitive proposals. You will maintain estimates, track changes, and present cost analyses to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably commercial
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of building codes and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret architectural plans, specifications and other documents to prepare estimates
• Calculate labor, material and time requirements from proposals and blueprints
• Develop and maintain cost databases for labor, materials and equipment
• Prepare bid proposals, budgets and cost summaries for review and approval
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scopes of work
• Review and adjust estimates for scope changes and revisions
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
• Maintain records of estimates, bids and project costs
• Present detailed cost reports and analyses to management and clients
