Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking an Estimator for our onsite team in Fredericksburg, VA. You will analyze drawings and documents to prepare accurate take-offs, pricing and quotes in collaboration with sales, production, engineering and transportation.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years bidding/construction experience, and proficiency with proposal drawings software. A competitive package with a 10% annual bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• 2+ years of construction or bidding experience preferred.
• Experience with proposal drawings software.
• Commitment to safety and reliability.
• Strong attendance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Complete take-offs and quotes for RFQs from outside sales.
• Send quotes before due date with sales team copied on correspondence.
• Communicate with customers on quantity verification and quote structure.
• Collaborate with sales for proposal strategy and design changes.
• Work with vendors to prepare bids and write proposals.
• Manage multiple bids with varying sizes and complexity.
• Review drawings and specs to prepare cost and labor estimates.
