Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking an Estimator to ensure accurate project cost summaries from drawings and specs, creating proposals for customers. You will partner with sales, production, engineering, and transportation to deliver timely quotes for RFQs.

Your role requires reading schematics and engineering drawings, 3+ years in construction or bidding, and occasional travel. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• 3+ years of construction or bidding experience.
• Knowledge of software for proposal drawings.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Complete take-offs and quotes for RFQs from outside sales.
• Send quotes to customers before due date, with sales team copied.
• Manage overflow projects to ensure timely turnaround.
• Communicate with customers on quantity verification and quote structure.
• Collaborate with sales on proposal strategy and design changes.
• Assist in bidding and writing proposals with vendors.
