AWP Safety is seeking an Estimator to protect our customers’ people, time, and business by delivering precise bid estimates and clear, accurate information. You will collaborate with all levels to understand project requirements and help deliver timely proposals.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and strong communication, with opportunities to mentor teammates and advance within our growing organization. Base pay is market-aligned with benefits and bonuses possible based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• 1+ year construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CDOT M&S Standards and MUTCD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand projects and all requirements.
• Analyze information to compile into a proposal estimate.
• Attend external pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work.
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Prepare proposals including bid documents and project scope.
• Review and clarify proposals and negotiate projects.
• Prepare estimates based on time, labor, equipment costs, and specs.
• Create and submit estimate reports to project managers or clients.
• Obtain and track offers from subcontractors or vendors.
• Prepare preliminary schedules for awarded projects.
• Contact current and potential customers in a sales capacity.
• Mentor and train peers on the job.
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
