Walbec Group is seeking an Estimator to prepare cost estimates for private, municipal, state, and federal projects. The role supports operations staff with change orders, subcontracts, and cost analysis.

The ideal candidate will interpret plans, reference market data, and submit estimates using AASHTOWare, Bid Express, and Expedite Bid. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, with strong writing and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of schooling and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates for private, municipal, state, and federal entities.
• Interprets plans and specifications to prepare estimates.
• Conducts pre-estimate job site reviews.
• References and updates historical market data for estimates.
• Submits cost estimates using AASHTOWare, Bid Express, Expedite Bid.
• Assembles purchase orders and subcontractor documents.
• Attends project setup meetings and collaborates on cost reviews and change orders.
