Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial and/or civil construction.
• Proficiency in estimating software.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor trades.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects from concept through completion.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope of work.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and quotes.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to identify potential project risks and cost factors.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Track and maintain bid schedules, deadlines, and proposal documentation.
• Support value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
