Job summary

Valcourt Group in Apex, NC is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate bid estimates for assigned projects. You will review drawings, specs, and addenda, perform quantity takeoffs, and build pricing with input from vendors and subcontractors to support profitable proposals.

Under the Pre-Construction Manager or Senior Estimator, you will coordinate with sales and operations to align scope, schedule, and customer expectations, participate in bid reviews, and maintain organized pricing

Qualifications

Mid-level estimating experience with moderate supervision.
Experience reading plans and specifications to identify scope.
Experience with labor, material, and subcontractor pricing and bid documentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare estimates in line with branch standards, bid requirements and margin expectations.
Review drawings, specifications, addenda and other bid documents to understand scope.
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to confirm coverage and competitiveness.
Prepare bid forms, inclusions, exclusions, alternates, and clarifications for review.
Coordinate with sales and operations to confirm field conditions and schedule constraints.
Participate in internal estimate reviews and post-bid follow-up.
Maintain organized estimate files, pricing records, and bid history.
