Job summary

Valcourt Group in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Estimator to work with a broad team including engineers, architects, and owners to develop accurate cost estimates from initial scope through proposal submission.

The role requires knowledge of waterproofing, masonry, and concrete repair, strong procurement understanding, and a track record of delivering precise, timely estimates while maintaining safety standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field.
• Or at least five years of related experience.
• Experience with waterproofing, masonry, and concrete repair preferred.
• Familiar with procurement of construction services, contract documents.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work with estimators, managers, engineers, owners, and subcontractors on scope, changes, RFIs, and cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, attend pre-bid meetings, and finalize estimates and proposals.
• Analyze proposals to determine scope, costs, schedules, materials, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Maintain and update the directory of manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers to develop work crews and production rates.
• Support Valcourt's safety program and promote best practices.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow.
• Communicate with management about active estimates and opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
