Job summary

Buch Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator to gather, analyze, and prepare detailed cost information for preconstruction.

You will visit jobsites, review proposals, specs, and drawings, and work with Project Managers to coordinate the bid process. This role requires a degree in CM/engineering or architecture, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in estimation software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Organized and detail oriented with strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with clients and vendors.
• Proficient or capable of learning estimation software and MS Office; adaptable to industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate proposals, specifications, and docs to understand the project as a whole.
• Coordinate the bid process with the construction project manager for vendors and subs.
• Estimate time, labor, materials, and costs to determine overall project cost.
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and client updates.
• Visit job sites to gather necessary client requirement information.
• Provide accurate quantity takeoffs and a detailed materials list for cost assessment.
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposals and budgets.
