Job summary

Buch Construction in Tampa, FL is seeking an Estimator to gather, analyze, and prepare cost information for maximum value during preconstruction. You will visit jobsites, review proposals, specs, and documents to understand the project and coordinate with Project Managers on the bid process.

You will determine time, labor, materials, and product costs, produce written estimates, and communicate requirements to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or an Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent field experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with estimating software and MS Office; able to learn new tools quickly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate proposals, specs, and construction documents to understand the project.
• Oversee and coordinate the bid process with vendors and subcontractors.
• Estimate time, labor, materials, and product costs for construction projects.
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers.
• Visit construction sites to gather requirements information.
