Job summary

BUCH Co is seeking an Estimator to gather and analyze cost data for preconstruction in Tampa, FL. You will visit jobsites, study proposals and drawings, and work with Project Managers to coordinate bids and prepare detailed cost estimates for clients.

The role requires strong math, organizational skills, and effective communication. Proficiency with estimation software and MS Office is expected; travel to sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Associate's degree in Construction Management or related field is acceptable.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate proposals, specifications, and documents to understand the project.
• Oversee and coordinate bid process with vendors and subcontractors.
• Estimate time, labor, materials, and product costs for construction projects.
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and client updates.
• Visit job sites to obtain client requirement information.
• Provide quantity takeoffs and assess total construction costs.
• Follow up with clients on proposals and budgets.
