Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a Construction Estimator in Arlington Heights, IL to manage commercial estimating and preconstruction tasks including takeoffs, cost estimates, and bid preparation. Travel to project sites is required occasionally; hybrid work with 1 day remote per week is possible.

Ideal candidate has 2+ years in commercial estimating, with experience in design-build, CM, and hard bid projects, and strong Excel skills for bid analysis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction estimating experience, commercial projects.
• Experience with design-build, CM, and hard bid projects.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in Excel and bid-analysis processes.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and drawings to prepare estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare time, cost, and resource estimates for projects.
• Create bids for design-build, CM, and hard-bid projects.
• Coordinate subcontractor bids and pricing, and review scopes.
• Analyze subcontractor bids for completeness and alignment.
• Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams.
• Travel to project sites for measurements and information as needed.
