Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Construction Project Engineer in Arlington Heights, IL to support commercial construction projects, collaborating with Project Management, Estimating and Operations on retail and banking builds. Base salary up to $70k per year, plus benefits, PTO/holidays, 401k, and bonus opportunities.

You will assist with project setup, subcontractor coordination, estimating and takeoffs, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, contracts, and closeout documentation, and occasional

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Employment Registration Card (PERC).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to travel occasionally throughout Chicagoland and neighboring Great Lakes states.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day construction project administration and coordination
• Set up new projects and coordinate subcontractor onboarding, insurance requirements, subcontractor agreements, and project documentation
• Perform construction estimating and quantity takeoffs as needed
• Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, prime contracts, and related construction documentation
• Assist with project closeout documentation and turnover requirements
• Coordinate with Estimating, Project Management, and Operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Enter, maintain, and transfer project data and documentation within construction management systems
• Support retail, banking, and other commercial construction projects
