Job summary

Bancare is seeking an Estimator — Commercial Construction in Arlington Heights to own cost models for ground-up and tenant improvement projects. You will develop competitive estimates, perform take-offs, and manage bid packages while coordinating with the preconstruction team.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commercial construction estimating and can read drawings and specs. This full-time role offers growth and hands-on ownership of the numbers behind projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience, including ground-up estimating, preconstruction, or related project work.
• Comfortable reading construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate, competitive estimates for commercial construction projects — from drawing review through final bid
• Run quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subs
• Solicit, compare, and level subcontractor and vendor bids
• Spot scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities before they become problems
• Sit in on pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as part of the preconstruction team
• Hand off clean, complete bid packages to Project Management
• Mentor Junior Estimators as you grow into the role
