Job summary

We Search People is partnering with a growing Commercial / Industrial construction team in upstate, SC to find an Estimator. If you can turn project plans, specifications, and site requirements into accurate, competitive estimates, this is for you.

Open to candidates from 3 years of estimating to 15+ years in preconstruction. You'll work on site development, commercial and industrial projects across Greenville and Spartanburg, collaborate with PMs, engineers, and vendors, and support bids from

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and bid documents.
• Develop quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and potential cost savings.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and leadership.
• Support the bid process from initial review through final submission.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who knows how to turn project plans, specifications, and site requirements into accurate, competitive estimates and wants to be part of a team where their expertise genuinely makes an impact. You'll be estimating a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the Greenville / Spartanburg market, including site development, commercial and industrial projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience
• Strong understanding of commercial or industrial construction methods and costs
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, bids and subcontractor pricing
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• A proactive, team-oriented approach
