BCB Homes, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator in Florida to develop accurate budgets for luxury projects from preliminary drawings through final construction documents.

The role requires deep experience in estimating new construction and renovations and collaboration with clients, architects, and project teams. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge of industry trends, strong Excel skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while coordinating with trade

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience estimating new construction and renovations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong Excel skills required.
• Experience with pre-construction budgets and collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate budgets for luxury construction projects from preliminary drawings through final documents.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project details.
• Coordinate with trade partners and subcontractors to review and price scopes of work.
• Write detailed scopes of work for subcontractor pricing and review subcontractor agreements.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, constraints, and material needs.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings to facilitate the bid process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and construction methods to improve estimating accuracy.

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will develop accurate budgets for luxury construction projects, beginning with preliminary drawings and continuing through final construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience estimating new construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Pre-Construction and Sales team, providing support to Business Development by developing accurate and timely project budgets.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project details and address inquiries.
• Communicate with trade partners to review and evaluate cost estimates while working closely with subcontractors throughout the process.
• Critically analyze subcontractor and trade partner scopes of work and prepare subcontractor agreements based upon the correct scope of work per the contract documents.
• Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing conditions, project constraints, and material requirements.
• Write detailed scopes of work to send to subcontractors and trade partners for pricing.
• Arrange, organize, and coordinate pre-construction meetings to facilitate the bid process.
• Actively seek current information regarding industry trends, building codes, and construction methodologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Skills:

• Strong Microsoft Office skills are a must, especially Excel.
• Construction industry experience is required.
• New home construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Attention to detail is critical as this role requires careful analysis of documents and the production of accurate bid documentation.
• Effective time management skills are required to meet project deadlines, manage bid schedules, and support multiple estimating priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar software.
