Job summary

OEG, Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator based in Mesa, Arizona, to provide technical estimation for electrical projects from bid preparation to job closeout. This role requires 5 years of experience in electrical estimation and a strong understanding of electrical construction.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate financial analytical abilities. Compensation includes comprehensive health insurance, a 401k retirement plan, and generous PTO.

• Perform quantity takeoff.
• Enter quantity takeoff into estimating software.
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Estimators provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and
• 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Quantity takeoff.
• Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software.
• Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Review current material pricing levels.
• Review and estimate addenda as required.
• Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting.
• Review bid/construction schedule.
• Draft and submit proposal documents.
• Follow post bid closeout procedures.
• Attend weekly estimating team meetings.
• Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Construction management degree.
• Experience in the construction industry.
