Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain heavy equipment used in construction operations. You will service trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and related machinery, performing maintenance on brakes, engines, hydraulics, and other systems.

Training is provided with pay during service. Expect hands-on work on drive lines, fuel systems, and accessories, with opportunities to apply math, electrical, and mechanical skills in a military setting.

Qualifications

• Interest in math, electricity, and shop mechanics.
• Interest in electric motors and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads, high-pressure fuel injection pumps, and road wheels.
